Who this policy covers
This policy covers the PicRoam mobile app and picroam.com. PicRoam is the service responsible for the processing described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
Information we process
- Photos you choose: the photo or photos you select for generation, the scene you request and the resulting image. Choosing a photo does not authorize access to every photo in your library.
- Account information: account identifiers, sign-in details supplied by your authentication provider and profile information you provide.
- Purchases: product identifiers, Apple transaction records, verification status and your photo balance. Apple processes payment details; PicRoam does not receive your full payment card information.
- Service information: generation status, app version, language, device and technical information, security logs and error reports needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.
- Support messages: the information you send when asking for help.
Photos and AI processing
Before generation, the app asks you to agree to sending your selected photos to PicRoam’s servers and OpenAI. OpenAI processes the photos and scene instructions to produce the image you requested. You can decline and choose not to generate an image.
Photo processing is used to create your selected scene, not to identify you or target advertisements. A face can appear in your photo and generated image, but the generation flow is not an identity-verification service. Only use another person’s photo with their permission. AI output can be inaccurate and should not be presented as evidence of a real event.
PicRoam’s account-deletion process does not control a provider’s legally required or security-related records. Contact us for details about the provider terms and retention settings applicable to your request.
Why information is used
We use information to provide requested generations, keep your account and photo balance working, verify purchases, deliver results, prevent abuse, investigate failures and respond to support requests. Where applicable, processing relies on providing the service you request, your consent, legitimate interests in security and reliable operation, or legal obligations.
You can withdraw consent for future AI processing by not starting additional generations. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that has already occurred. Use the deletion options below to request removal of stored data.
Storage and retention
Selected uploads and generated results are stored to complete your requests and make your creations available in the app. Account information remains while your account is active. When you request deletion, the service removes account-linked records and stored media through its deletion process.
Transaction, fraud-prevention or legal records may need to be retained separately when required. Backup copies may remain until the applicable backup rotation completes. Retention can differ by data category and service provider; contact [email protected] for the schedule applicable to your data. We do not promise instantaneous deletion from every backup or third-party system.
Your choices and rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, and object to or restrict certain uses where local law provides these rights. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We may ask for information needed to verify a request without asking for your password.
Delete your account in the app’s Settings or follow the Account & Data Deletion instructions. Manage photo and notification permissions in your device settings. Deleting the app alone does not delete the account.
Children and responsible use
PicRoam is not intended for children below the minimum age permitted by applicable law. Follow the age rating on the App Store and obtain any required parent or guardian permission. Contact us if you believe a child’s data has been provided without appropriate authorization.
Security, updates and contact
We use access controls and technical safeguards to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary identity documents in support messages.
This policy may change when the product or its processing changes. The update date appears above, and material changes requiring a new choice will be communicated in the relevant experience. Questions: [email protected].
